New Theresian

The history of this type of light fixtures dates to the 18th century. At that time a new type of chandelier appeared, its construction featuring arms in the shape of a lyre rather than a main central weight-bearing rod. These chandeliers were first introduced in Prague during the coronation of Empress Maria Theresa in 1743. Their current common-name reflects the name of the empress. The NEW THERESIAN refreshes this classic shape from the 18th century with a modern and innovative form.
